The Results
Production planners use the program to produce a prioritized list of selections that can be run to fill gaps in the production schedule. This “print-ahead list” is prioritized by the anticipated cost savings that would be achieved by producing the proposed lot-size rather than producing the selection each time the customer placed an order.
